Brickshelf Gallery

An insanely large scale model of the USS Harry S Truman (CVN75). There’s a lot of attention to detail. If anyone knows of a writeup about this model, please let me know in the comments and I’ll include links here.

A bit of info fron here.

Some facts:
Made by Malle Hawking (Weebleleezer). It is about 5m long, 1,40m wide and the height is about 1,20m. It contains over 200,000 Bricks and weighs over 160 Kilos and a five digit amount of costs. Building time was over one year and it will finish end of March 06. It has electrical lights on deck, hangar and aircrafts. Moveable Elevators and radar dishes and finally a motorized catapult!

For those who don’t understand the metric system, it’s 16 feet long, 4 feet wide, and weights 350 pounds.

The saga of keychain clutterers began simply, like any other huge problem in society. People all had keys and they all looked the same and so people set out to find a way to make people’s keychains appear different. It started with simple engraved plates or initials from your name — a simple P or a simple P.D. was all that was needed. It was simple back then, when all you had to do was turn that rotating keychain kiosk at the hardware store in circles to find the letter that would set your keys apart from everyone else’s.
