FedEx Ground Sucks.
I ordered the DVD Recorder/VCR combo from Woot a bit ago.
This image shows most, but not all of he story. I’ll write a new post when I get the package and can tell all of the story without being too slanderous.
FedEx QA called Tuesday at 9am to verify the address on the box and it is correct. I’ve talked to them every evening since plus this morning, and they still can’t tell me why my DVD Recorder hasn’t been delivered yet.
I’ll be calling them tomorrow morning with the intent of not hanging up the phone until they resolve the issue.
[Update: March 10th]
Finally got the package. Looks like they sent a different driver just to deliver our package. When I called this morning the manager that I talked with explained that a contractor had abandoned our route and they were scrambling to catch up. He also assured me that he would have a talk with his people since everyone else I talked to made promises they couldn’t and didn’t keep.

I just got home and checked out the DVD Recorder and it’s damaged. Not only was the packaging crap, the box was crushed, the case of the recorder has a huge dent on top and the DVD drive drags a lot when opening and closing. The plastic on the inside of the box was ripped and there is a fine layer of road dust over everything in the box. Woot’s getting this one back.
