Severus Snape: Unlikely Hero of Harry Potter 7

Severus Snape: The Unlikely Hero of Harry Potter book 7
I don’t agree with this prediction, but it is a distinct possibility. The article is worth a read, but wait until you’re through the 6th book.
Anyone else have any ideas about what’s in store for the next Harry Potter book?
In the end, I predict, Snape will sacrifice himself in order to destroy the snakelike Voldemort, whose personal symbol (the Dark Mark) is a snake tongue projecting from a death’s head skull. (The symbol unintentionally teaches the lesson that false speech is a form of death). At a surface level, the events of the just-published book 6 seem entirely contrary to my thesis, but looked at from another angle, they confirm it. Let’s begin with chapter 2, “Spinner’s End,†in which Snape makes the Unbreakable Vow to Narcissa Malfoy. The chapter’s title ostensibly refers to the street where Snape lives.

I think Snape’s definitely still on Dumbledore’s side. He had to make that Unbreakable Vow to Narcissa to prevent himself from being uncovered as a good guy. When Snape is about to murder Dumbledore, DD says “Severus…please”, obviously he wants Snape to kill him – you remember when Hagrid overhears them arguing in the forest earlier in the book – that was obviously the reason. It had to be done, and snape is probs a powerful wizard who will have to take DD’s place. When Harry’s chasing Snape out of the school grounds, Snape is telling Harry to use non-verbal spells to stop him – he’s given him advice for the future – its blatant! Jk’s hints are so e z to recognise!

i agree with this, i think snape is not evil afterall. if he does why would he saved harry many times. if he want to kill harry and don’t want DD to know, just make it sounds like an accident, i think he’s clever enough to do soo

Hey, I think its very easy to believe Snape is bad but we’re not giving Dumdledore enough credit. He always seemed so certain the Snape was on his side and he didnt seem to be acting very surprised when Snape killed him so,i trust there has to be some sort of plan a brewing. Oh and i agree with You danielle, the movies dont do the books justice,i think maybe its hard to fit all that info into two and a half hours!!

snape is innocent and is following a plan from dumbledore to prvoe his loyalty and dumbledore ordered snape to kill him to prove his worth to the dark lord..

Hi Guys,
I wonder if use guys have any coments on this theory.
What if Snape is niether bad nor good but has his own specific agenda. This would confirm that he did kill Dumbeldore (DD) out of hatred as mentioned in the GOF by Mad Eye Moody that you have to mean the curse for it to take place.
Also at the end of book six when Snape kills DD it describes the fear on DD face, could this be not the fear for himself but the fear for what would become of Snape if he kills him ” Severous please “.
Also just a another quick theroy what if Harry himself is a hocrux? ( I dont think thats how you spell it but anyways)
These theroys are probs a load of rubbish but any comments on teh m would be appreciated.
Many thanks

i don’t think harry is a horcrux. i am still deciding wether or not snape is bad. from what i am hearing i woudn’t be surprised if he was but also if he wasn’t.i think though dumbledore will come back in the seventh book to save harry’s butt when he is fighting against voldermort.i really don’t think snape has his own agenda. i have heard though j.k. is going to kill two main characters i hope one of them is ron he is such a jerk sometimes!!!!

Readers,
snape killed dumbledore, and he seemed to be happy about being one of voledomrtes ( if thats how u spell it) “most faithful” servants. AND he didnt save harry in book 1 because he was good, it was because he would be paying back harry’s dad for saving his life.
another thing to consider is harry might be the Heir of griffindor. his parents lived in GODRICS hollow. and Griffindors first name was GODRIC. and when harry got his wand red, and gold spracs came out(griffindors colors) and only a TRUE griffindor could have gotton the sword out of the hat in book 2.
and last i want you to consider that if harry were a horcrux( if thats how u spell it) voldemort would have had to kill someone in order to make him one & if harry was a horcrux why does voldemort wana kill him?

I don’t think Snape is bad and it was all a plan (him killing Dumbledore) to keep Harry Alive im not 100% sure but it might.

Harry is not a horcrux, JK herself said so in an interview.
Dumbledore was not afraid of death. Remember him saying something to the affect of: “To the well organized mind, death is but another adventure.” in regards to Nicholas Flamel. I’m certain that he is dead and that Snape killed him and that Dumbledore commanded it.
It is possible that Dumbledore has a horecrux, but I doubt it. I imagine that he could come back to life like a phoenix but I also doubt that.
Harry needs to defeat Voldemort on his own and the events at the end of book 6 leave him no choice.

In the 6th book Hagrid tells Harry that snape and Dumbldore are arguing and snape was refusing to do somthing any more, Harry thought it was about Draco but it might of been about Sanpe having to kill Dumbledore for harry’s and dracos own good!!!

well… there is alot to consider…
of course i believe as many of you have already stated that we need to give Dumbledore more credit than the naivety portrayed by the unwavering belief of Snape’s loyalty. The books mention, especially in the end of HBP that he (Dumbledore), always had a concrete reason to trust Snape. I believe that he was alot smarter than even Harry thought, and definatly knew either of Snapes imminent betrayal (?), or trusted him implicitly to the degree of self sacrifice. In essence, Dumbledore planned his self-sacrifice with Snape, whom initially refused but was forced to kill him rather than have the obvious ending of capture, and possibly torture of D.
Also, quick question to all of you more knowledgeable than I… if the portraits in the Headmasters office seem to retain a certain degree of memory and personality, why can’t the Order, or Harry for that matter, consult Dumbledore’s snoozing portrait?
Thanks for responses…

I am sure, reading the six books, that severus snape in in the side of the Order of the Phoenix with any doubt !That’s why severus CAN NOT AND MUST NOT DIE ! if he did, it would be really unfair.

Sorry, i’ve forgotten something important to tell : if you want that severus snape not to die in the seven book, you can sign the petition to save him. to do that, you must click on “to save severus snape” site. Do it quick before it’s too late. Thanks for severus !
