Seen the dual layer drives, but bus powered, now that’s cool.

LaCie has announced two new double layer DVD burners, which offer the ability to burn DVDs with 8.5GB capacities, that will ship in September. The Slim DVD /-RW Double Layer drive (US$199) is available with either a USB 2.0 or a FireWire interface, with the latter able to draw power from the computer port, and sports a slim design for portability.
